Developmental Considerations in Therapy

Development occurs throughout childhood and adolescence across Intellectual, Physical, Emotional, Psychological and Social-Realtional Domains.  Familiarity with typical development across domains is important to understanding the impact of life events and traumatic experiences.  This training will present information  about critical periods in development from a neurological, integrative framework.  Information and experiential exercises will be included to increase your understanding of developmental stages, vulnerabilities and resilience which can enhance your regular practice with clients who are physically out of childhood.
